2023 has been our biggest year to date, we made some changes to get back to our initial business model, if we are selling the sofa or dining table then it had to be in stock and available for immediate delivery. In 2022 in an aim to keep all our clients happy we had split some of our sets and placed items on pre-order to ensure that you could order what you wanted but our craftspeople don’t produce that way, its a lower process and that meant waiting times were increased and that never how we wanted it to be. So this year we have gone back to our original plan, its a much better proposition for you and for us.
We have had an amazing year, selling out of so many collection and with he help of our fabulous team we have been able to add more that we didn’t think we would be able to and at this stage in July we still have a good number off sets from this years collection that arrived with us very recently so that you can still get what you want, its fun stock and can be delivered within days and we just love that.
We’ve come so far since our first collection and that will always be very special but what I believe we have done is make each piece better, more special and worked on better configurations. We’ve added new colours for the cushions which have been very successful and we’ve added new pieces. We have realised that some of the items that we thought we didn’t need, must come back for 2024 – a long table, something that seats at least ten people so we have created a twelve seater that is such a luxury. We know you love a mixture of modular sofas and sofa sets so we have a nice mixture of the two with a new option of each. We have another new table and I’m really excited about this one and although I was passionate about the chairs that went with this set there was some kick back, so we created two chair options and I love them both equally. We haven’t had loungers since year one so I’m delighted to say they are coming back and I’m looking forward to adding a couple of those to my own garden.
As a family we’ve grown, my kids definitely have, they’re not really kids any more and my eldest daughter is now involved in the product development and marketing alongside me. Ella graduated in Business & Economics from Trinity and then a masters in product marketing in London and now she gets the pleasure of working with her mum, she’s grown up with garden design, plants and Finn & Elder and she is invaluable to me and I’m so lucky that she is, for now at least a great asset to F&E.
Whats next, well we have so much planned for 2024 and we will be releasing the new products and collection this Autumn but for now we have some of your favourites still available and our very capable delivery and installation team, Oliver and Robbie are amazing and take great pride in making sure your new outdoor furniture is ready for you just to make a drink and take a seat.
